Do You Really Need A Tripod?

A recent challenging and strenuous walk dictated I leave my heavy cumbersome tripod at home. I have always wondered if perhaps we photographers become too reliant on what is often thought of as being a critical piece of equipment for getting landscape work done. I was curious how my days adventure would pan out with just me, my camera and its image stabilisation (especially on waterfall shots). Feel free to watch the video, browse the images and of course leave a comment if you have a question or whatever. Thanks!
